Highly recommend this course and  instructors Had a couple minor  malfunctions with my pistol and they immediately engaged a gunsmith who happened to be on the premises. Great guys too!

Need  to know course , lots of information. Claude and Mike explain it very  well and   use their own personal stories of what can really happen in  the home , or just out and about. Being prepared can make the difference  if you're in a bad situation.

 My wife and I attended the NYS Concealed Carry Improvement Act handgun training course taught by Country Outdoorsman.  As an Army Officer with over 24yrs of service I can say that this course is on par with any I’ve done in the military.  NRA instructors Mike and Claude were knowledgeable and professional, walking the class through a classic (crawl/walk/run) progression that takes anyone with little to no experience and builds them into a competent and safe firearms user.  The topics covered were relevant and insightful to anyone looking to safely enter the world of concealed carry.  I highly recommend this course.

Claude and Michael really utilize the time to thoroughly educate you on safe handling, responsibility and legality….

The course has a well thought out curriculum and can be used as a model for how the course should be uniformly structured statewide. Education of important subject matter is important and since it is now a requirement to obtain a concealed carry permit, the educators should have a uniform platform to teach the course from.
Claude and Michael's model should be considered for such a platform.

I was really impressed by the way  Mike and Claude conducting the conceal carry course, every question was answered with thought, time, and care. Clearly they are passionate about what they do and have dedicated their lives to it which i loved to see and made me feel comfortable and safe. Immediately after a few hours in i had much more of a love for guns and was much more eager to learn. I will definitely be following up with the other classes that they provide and spreading the good word for others to join. It's a blessing to have these guys not only in general but especially for my guard career.

 A+ !  A+ ! A+ !  !!!  CM DEFENSIVE DELIVERS IN EVERY WAY!!!
I sought them out to receive government approved training needed for certification.
They delivered on all the required components but SO MUCH MORE! They care about making you safe not just about collecting fees.
My  experience for the last couple of decades has been out of the areas of  self-defense so I might qualify as worse than uninitiated.
Of course,  they present the required curriculum. The real driver for my positive  review is how they meet AND EXCEED their obligation. Without wasting  time and without feeling rushed, they proceeded to efficiently deliver  the class every practical interactive way possible with all the  professionalism needed. The most satisfying aspect of this informative  and necessary training class is that I came away with the sense that  close family, perhaps caring uncles, delivered the sessions for my  personal welfare. If you seek what they provide, I urge you to get it  from them!

I recently had the pleasure of taking the New York State Firearm safety course with C&M Defensive.

Over the years I have taken a number of these classes as  I'm licensed in 8 states to conceal carry. Never before have I felt  compelled to write a review however this course was head and shoulders  above any other I have taken. Claude and Michael  provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere in which to learn. Their  knowledge, expertise and special brand of humor is unsurpassed as they  managed to keep everyone engaged for 16 hours. The class contained  students of all different levels of experience  yet everyone in the class felt the lessons were specifically tailored  for their needs. 

I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get a CCW or just purchase a firearm in NYS.
